MPS- BioLub®
MPS- BioLub® is an environment-friendly lubricant formulated to protect moving metal parts by creating thick adhesive film to cool parts down where pressure and temperature loads are very high.
Application
MPS- BioLub® Oil is specially formulated to provide excellent protection for pneumatic percussion tools (metal to metal strikes). It has high load-carrying capacity to protect against wear and seizure of sliding metal surfaces under heavy or shock-load conditions. It has good adhesiveness to metal surfaces in the presence of moisture, the thick adhesive film stick on metal surface to protect against rust and corrosion of the internal parts when the tool is not being used. It has good oxidation resistance and thermal stability at high temperatures for long service life.
Why MPS- BioLub® ?
The lubricant is ‘tailor-made’ for hammer drilling. Due to the high viscosity, its behaviour is ideal across the entire temperature range and it forms a highly resilient lubricating film. An important factor is the absorption of moisture. In certain use cases (e.g. drilling through rock), we deliberately add water to the compressed air to cool the hammer drill more effectively and to wash away dust. MPS- BioLub® absorbs this water and dissipates it in thickened form.
Many hammer oils still in use are based on mineral oils and as such provide health and environmental risks due to inhalation and the discharge of used oil into sensitive ecological areas and groundwater. MPS- BioLub® is safe and environmentally friendly and does not propose health risks.
